People Claim ‘You Haven’t Lived’ Until You’ve Seen This Nostalgic Classic

There are certain movies that we may watch almost continuously. We think about Christmas movies that are watched every year, or perhaps old classics, such as Gone with the Wind or The Wizard Of Oz.

Sometimes, there are also movies that capture the attention of an entire generation, and many love revisiting them anytime they possibly can. This is true of a film that was released more than three decades ago and it has the ability to take that generation back to their childhood.

People love the movie so much that they took to social media in order to talk about it with others. They wanted to let people know how much they appreciated and loved the movie, and they say you aren’t really living unless you’ve seen it yourself.

This particular flick stars a number of high-level celebrities, including Phoebe Cates (Fast Times at Ridgemont High), Ashley Peldon (The Secretary), Rik Mayall (ABBA: Our Last Video Ever), Marsha Mason (Heartbreak Ridge) and Ron Eldard (Freedomland).

The central figure in the show is a court reporter, Elizabeth Cronin (Cates). She runs into an old friend from her youth just about the same time that her life is coming apart at the seams. That childhood friend reminds her of an imaginary friend she had as a child, Drop Dead Fred.

At this point, you are probably imagining where the movie is going, and you may even have guessed the name of the show, ‘Drop Dead Fred.’ It ends with her imaginary friend coming back into her life again and causing problems while, at the same time, trying to solve issues in her life.

Even though this movie is from 1991, people still have a true love for the flick. They will watch it when it comes on and they will share the love of the show with others.

When the movie was released, not everybody was happy with it and it got some rather harsh reviews. Those who ended up watching it, however, seemed to fall in love with it and it is a piece of nostalgic history that they aren’t willing to let go of.
