Sex expert breaks down the 15 types of orgasms people are able to achieve in their lifetime

A sex expert has broken down the 15 types of orgasms people are most likely to experience during their lifetime.

Jessica Toscano, a certified sexologist, often has to explain to her clients that there’s more than one type of orgasm folks can try.

Heck, Jessica explained in a recent Daily Mail article how studies have suggested there are more than two dozen types of orgasms.

And in the piece, the sex expert detailed 15 ways of climaxing that people are able to achieve in their lifetime.

Clitoral

Jessica says a clitoral orgasm ‘is considered one of the easiest and most common forms of orgasm for women.’

The sex expert went on to explain how it has close to twice as many pleasure points than the penis has.

Vaginal

Such an orgasm is often paired with clitoral orgasm, making it another popular choice for sexual pleasure.

“Studies have found that only 20 percent of women are able to achieve this type of euphoria,” Jessica explained in the Daily Mail.

However, she did note such orgasm is usually paired with a sexual partner rather than a solo thing.

Cervical

Like the previous two, studies have shown a cervical orgasm is a good option for in the bedroom.

“It lights up areas of the brain separate from those during vaginal and clitoral orgasms – resulting in a different kind of release,” Jessica explained.

G-spot

This is a hugely debated one considering there are a lack of biological studies even proving the G-spot is a thing.

“It is thought by many to be in the first third of the front vaginal wall,” she explained.

“Though its precise location has yet to be proven, a 2021 analysis of 31 studies suggested that most women have benefited from its stimulation.”

Female ejaculation

You may well have heard of this type of orgasm through the more informal term ‘squirting’.

Jessica explained how this is usually achieved by women who involuntarily release a clear fluid when reaching a moment of ‘intense physical arousal’.

Anal

All genders can experience an anal orgasm throughout their lifetime, which is achieved by stimulation around the anus, resulting in pelvic muscle contractions.

Such sexual activity can result in a ‘powerful orgasm’, according to Jessica.

Prostate

The prostate is a sensitive area of a man, which many call the P-spot, and is found a few inches inside the rectum.

When massaged, the ejaculatory ducts (the area that carries semen and prostatic fluid from the testes to the urethra) can result in euphoria.

Nipple

A nipple orgasm is a popular one considering their many nerve endings, and they are even possible without another pleasure source, Jessica states.

“They [nipple orgasms] are similar to genital ones as they light up the same parts of the brain.”

Multiple orgasms

Such orgasm happens back-to-back, though it is much easier for women to achieve due to the resting period men need after climaxing.

Less than ten percent of men in their twenties and less than seven percent in their thirties are able to achieve multiple.

Erogenous

“Similar to ‘nipplegasms’, erogenous orgasms occur when areas other than the genitals are stimulated,” Jessica said of this orgasm.

Some of the most popular pleasure points are the mouth and lips and the back of the neck.

Blended orgasms

This orgasm occurs when multiple areas across the body are massaged to result in climax.

“Since touching various erogenous zones can stimulate different areas of the brain, this type of orgasm has the potential to feel more intense than other forms,” the sex expert said.

Exercise

You wouldn’t often associate exercise with an orgasm, but Jessica is on hand to explain how it can be achieved.

“Exercise orgasm usually occurs after engaging the core in a range of exercises like climbing ropes, abdominal routines and yoga,” she explained.

However, the ins and outs of an exercise orgasm remain unclear.

Energetic orgasm

A type of non-sexual encounter, an energetic orgasm can be achieved by imagining you’re on the receiving end of sexual gratification.

Typically, such orgasm lasts longer than the typical sexual pleasure.

Breastfeeding

Yet another non-sexual encounter, some studies have said breastfeeding can result in pleasure for women.

A study published in European Gynecology & Obstetrics found women experiencing an exciting sensation while feeding.

However, it should be worth noting it was rarely described as ‘sexual’.

Sleeping

A time for relaxing you may think, well, think again. A sleeping orgasm, of course, refers to a ‘wet dream’.

The orgasm often relates to hormones running wild and is most common for those going through puberty.
