Additionally, 57% of respondents stated that if pet travel became possible, they would travel more frequently. They would be joining a plethora of other prominent North American carriers that currently provide the service for domestic travel.
CEO Jayne Hrdlicka stated: “We at Virgin Australia are thrilled about the possibility of launching Australia’s first-ever cabin pet service. Our love for animals has always been ingrained in our DNA.
“We hear from most of our guests that they would like to bring their pets on vacation, and we are working to make that a reality. It is a well-proven practice that is frequently implemented elsewhere.
Additionally, she stated that nothing will alter regarding the free carriage of assistance animals in the cabins due to the presence of pets. If they can fit beneath the seat in front of the passenger, both small dogs and small cats are welcome.
They wouldn’t be allowed to wander about the aircraft because there is another authorized carrier that would be utilized. For those who meet the requirements, there would be a fee; the exact amount is yet unknown.
Many people had inquiries regarding the service once it was publicized. Among them are things like whether someone with an allergy could find out if a dog or cat would be seated next to them.
Virgin Atlantic retorted, saying, “We will be utilizing the next few months to design a safe proposition with strict rules. It’s really important to us that there be minimal impact to guests who are not carrying a pet.” You may relax knowing that everything is being handled!
